I praise the doctors that helped in the legalization of medical marijuana. Whenever the doctor recommends medical marijuana as a remedy to a problem it’s also an activist gesture. A physician that recommends medical marijuana also knows the many other pharmaceutical prescriptions he can prescribe. This is what a doctor told me back in 2001; “It’s ridiculous that a patient can choose from oxycodone, Valium, Celebrex, etc. and not have the right to choose medical marijuana.
Seeking the advice of doctors is the advice from someone that is more educated in a specific field of work. You make the decision once an expert advises you. How long has medicine been on earth and how much do humans really know about medicine. And doctors are people capable of making mistakes like all other humans.
Doctors all have an opinion about marijuana, weather it be good or bad. Now that medical marijuana is mainstream, patients deserve more scientific studies and more studies of older studies need to be re-visited. There has not been enough research to document if marijuana causes problems. For example: If I visit a doctor I usually go for a couple of reasons. I don’t usually go for just one problem. In one case, I went for a skin problem and a slightly noticeable problem of not being able to have an erection. Dare I say ‘erectile disfunction’. Is this really ED?
At age 34, my physician recommended stopping the use of marijuana. Does marijuana cause ED? At the time of the doctor visit I said to myself, ‘maybe I should cut down’. And then I said to myself, ‘What does my doctor really know about smoking marijuana?’. Did I cut down? Yes. How was I to figure it out, unless I did trial and error (personal experiment). The older I get the more I cut down on everything. I’m not as athletic, I eat less, I smoke less marijuana, etc.,etc.,etc.
The facts are that not one person is identical in their genetic make-up, lifestyle, hormones, age, exposures to a lifetime of stress, back pain, etc. The information that’s available on the world-wide-web is incredible. The first thing I look for when I do a search, is how many articles are available, who the top ten are written by, and the date the information was posted or updated. My personal conclusion is:
In my opinion not enough studies to show that smoking marijuana causes ED. When I started cutting back on smoking marijuana at age 34, I noticed no results in the improvement of my erections. I use Viagra. I can still get an erection without Viagra. I only use Viagra to feel younger. I use it because I’m age 54 and back pain can cause a bit of a distraction. I don’t get aroused if a strong wind is blowing like I did at age 18. I can’t keep an erection all night long like I use to when I was age 23 and 26. I’m here to tell you that it’s normal to have hormone changes in a man and woman’s body as aging takes place. Yes, it’s normal to have an erection for 5 to 15 minutes at age 54 without Viagra. It’s normal to have a drop dead gorgeous girlfriend and sometimes have problems getting it up at any age. If you have a stretch of a two-week ED problem, seek the advise of a physician.
Most successful Americans are working for success. Sure there are a couple that are extremely lucky. I divorced my wife at age 32 because she wanted it. We briefly tried to have a child and it did not happen. Not the worst thing in my life. I had the know how to direct my drive into my first business along with real estate for my investing along with a history of back pain. Did I cut down on smoking marijuana? Yes.
In my opinion, mild ED is normal when you get older. Having a career and a stressful American lifestyle can also be normal. You may not have ED. You could be getting older. You may need a girlfriend that’s willing to help you achieve an erection and keep an erection. A man’s testosterone levels are at his highest when he is the age of a boy. When a man reaches the age of a man, his testosterone levels are at a lower level. This can play a factor in the erection.
The reason I wrote this post is because I’m currently revisiting the exercise of trying to have a baby. The erection is only as important as an individual needs it to be. I find my ED problem to be from over working, stress, back pain, and older age. Is it really ED? You can bet it’s just part of older age. Smoking marijuana did not cause ED in my case.
