Who Are The Biggest Marijuana Activists In The USA? Canada?
In Denver, some say Ken Gorman helped pioneer the caregiver system after voter’s approved medical marijuana in the year 2000.
Ken Gorman was a grower of medical marijuana. Growing marijuana during or prior to the year 2000 took some balls. Growing marijuana was not mainstream, and all your friends would not be growing MMJ either.
If you were a caregiver and had a doctor’s recommendation for medical marijuana it was still a time to be nervous. Medical marijuana was in its infant stage and if you did have a buddy teaching you how to grow MMJ as a caregiver then he was also teaching you to grow like it was still illegal.
Which meant you couldn’t tell everyone… or anyone.
Growing MMJ as activism
Growing marijuana in California or any state can be a practice of activism.
A doctor’s recommendation of medical marijuana to a patient, can be a practice of activism. My doctor is quoted as saying, “It’s silly for a patient to have the right to choose codeine, Valium, oxycodone, etc. and not have the right to choose medical marijuana.”
In my opinion, the grower‘s and the doctor’s are the biggest marijuana activists.
They needed to take their steps before the attorneys became marijuana activists. The attorneys also played a role of activism when medical marijuana regulations were approved in Colorado in the year 2000. This is for the reasons that 99% of all doctors and attorneys will not have anything to do with marijuana related issues.
Marijuana activist Dana Larsen of Canada just made a gutsy action by mailing his newly written book to approximately one hundred people just before Christmas, 2015. He mailed his book as packages to Parliament and members of the media. Approximately one hundred packages included one gram of marijuana.
Mailing marijuana is not legal.
Do activists do illegal practices in order to show that they should be legal? Was marijuana legal at one time and the government in-justifiably made it illegal? Are activists willing to go to jail for their cause?
Is there an activist that encouraged you to get your medical marijuana card and to grow medical marijuana? Who would this person be?
The biggest marijuana activists are the ones that can get the movement across to one person and not be satisfied until they get their point across to a group of people. This would be the individual that you can identify as the most influence in your decision to grow medical marijuana. Using and buying marijuana in small quantities has been decriminalized in many states. Growing marijuana has always been a serious offense.
This is were the legality lies in the practice of growing MMJ.
Activists include the many entrepreneurs in the medical marijuana industry who don’t use medical marijuana.

I have been a resident of Colorado for twenty-six years.
